Guarding Life Care provides home care services to families across Metro Vancouver. We understand that needing care, or realizing that a loved one does, is a difficult transition. Our team is here to offer not just practical support, but genuine compassion, so that clients can remain safe, comfortable, and independent in the place they know best: home.

Guarding Life was founded by Nivea — who, after years following a conventional career path, knew she wanted to make a real difference in people’s lives. Having watched families struggle under the weight of caring for aging parents while balancing everything else life demands, she knew there had to be a better way. So she built one. From day one, our mission has been to provide the kind of care we would want for our own parents and grandparents — we don’t just send caregivers into homes; we match families with trusted professionals who bring not just skill, but warmth, reliability, and genuine joy to the people they care for.

Our caregivers are thoroughly trained to support clients both physically and emotionally — making sure every person in our care feels safe, comfortable, and at home. Good care feels different.
